The UAE Red Crescent Authority distributed on Sunday fishing equipment to some 100 fishermen in Mocha city in Taiz province.

The aid consisted of 100 boxes containing nets, fishing hooks, strings for pipes, and other tools for individual fishing operations.

The chairman of the Fishermen's Society Hashim al-Refai said that the UAE's support for all development projects and relief services has been ongoing since the liberation of Mocha city from the Houthi terrorist organizations.

He added that "there is a difference between those who plant a smile in the faces of people and those who spread destruction'', in reference to the crimes committed by the militias against the fishermen.

He explained that the support of the UAE Crescent reached all segments of the community, including the fisherman's class in Mocha.

Fishermen suffered greatly after they lost everything and found only the UAE Red Crescent, which rebuilt about 24 Fish Landing Centers, and distributed nets, boats and financial aid along the liberated areas of the West Coast.

The UAE aid contributed to the recovery of the fisheries sector and the return of fishermen to their activities on all the coasts of the liberated areas.

The UAE Red Crescent covers various areas in cities and liberated areas, reflecting the humanitarian spirit of the United Arab Emirates in support of assistance to those affected by the war disasters caused by the Houthi militias.
