The Houthi militias again militarily escalated and launched an attack on Abha airport, killing a Syrian civilian and injuring seven others, according to the Arab Coalition statement.

The recent Houthi attack, represented an escalation by the Iranian camp, came as a counter-reaction to the statements of calm with Iran by US officials and the White House, and by the President Trump in particular, calling for direct dialogue and emphasizing the unwillingness to step up and war.

The attack coincided with the Quartet committee statement on Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Britain and the United States, published by the Saudi embassy in Washington on Sunday.

The four countries expressed their concern about the escalating tension in the region and the threat was posed by Iran's destabilizing Activities to peace and security in Yemen and the region as a whole, including Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and attacks on oil tankers in Fujairah on May 12 and in the Gulf of Oman on June 13.

The committee statement called on the Houthis to withdraw completely from the ports of al-Hodeida, Ras Issa and al-Salif. It pointed to the recent tension represented by Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia using Iranian-made rockets and aircraft.

On the other hand, the Legitimacy and the Brotherhood camp, led by Vice President Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar and his allies, increased an escalation in Ateq city, the capital of Shabwa, southeastern Yemen.

The Islah Security committee, in a statement on Sunday evening, waved, in response to the Southern Transitional Council's intention to hold a peaceful demonstration on Monday, to suppress peaceful demonstrators, giving the Houthis more points as the 'Legitimacy' turns a blind eye to the main real battle against the armed militias, fuel a side conflict from Taiz to Shabwa provinces.

The Southern Transitional Council said in a statement on Sunday evening " it is a must to exercise restraint and to miss the opportunity of hostile forces, considering provocations are desperate attempts to serve the Iranian project and the criminal Houthi militias.

Forces of the Joint Resistance and Southern Resistance militarily escalated fierce battles against the Houthi militias north of al-Dhale' province, including al-Fakher, Murais, al-Zubairat and Baja-Hajr fronts.
