144violations, 12 murder cases, Journalism Job: the most dangerous in Yemen

Media Freedoms Observatory of the Studies & Economic Media Center (SEMC), said that it monitored 43 cases of kidnapping and attempted of kidnapping, 11 violence cases, 6 attempted murders, 16 arrests' cases, 10 assault cases, 9 job firing cases, 7 intimidation cases, 5 cases of storming and looting of media houses and 12 violations against media institutions, and 13 other violations.
Houthi militias led the list of violations against journalists in Yemen with 84 violations of the total recorded cases, while the legitimate government has committed 30 violations, 30 violations against unknown persons and 11 violations by other parties, the report said.
According to the report, the violations' majority were carried out in areas under the control of the Houthis, the Iranian arm in Yemen and Sana'a came in the forefront of those areas.
The Observatory said that the increasing violations against journalists by all parties in Yemen to varying degrees created a dangerous environment that make Journalism profession the most dangerous in Yemen, and hinder Journalists' practice for their work freely in dealing with facts and events.
