Aden, Newsyemen, private:

Unidentified gunmen assassinated, on Tuesday noon, the journalist and photographer Nabil Al-Qaiti in front of his house in the Dar Saad neighborhood of Aden, southern Yemen, in a crime that sparked outrage among everyone except for those forces that were hostile to the south.

Al-Qaiti was one of the most prominent photojournalists during the battle for the liberation of Aden, Lahj and Dhalea from the Houthis in 2015.

He also worked to document the course of the war and accompanied military operations against the Houthi militia and al-Qaeda in the governorates of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut, Marib, Taiz and Hodeidah.

The assassination of Nabil Al-Qaiti came after a temporary return from covering the confrontations between the southern forces and the Muslim Brotherhood militia in Abyan governorate.

Al-Qaiti worked to document the achievements of the southern forces on the ground, in parallel with exposing the allegations and falsehood of the Brotherhood, regarding the conduct of the confrontations.

The "Newsyemen" channel, on YouTube, publishes a Motion Graphics video that shows part of the life of journalist photographer Nabil Al-Qaiti, who was known for his stance in favor of the Southern Transitional Council, which made him a target for extremist groups, with increased media incitement by Brotherhood affiliates.
