A group of children survived a certain death accident when a projectile fired by the Houthi militia, which did not explode, fell next to them in the town of Al-Mashareh, northwest of Hajar, north of Al-Dhalea Governorate.

Soon the children rushed to the mortar shell that created a hole where it fell and turned it into a toy to play with near the house, in an incident that is repeated in several provinces that witness fire lines with the Houthi militia, and those projectiles turn into death that reaps their innocence without mercy.

The Houthi militia bombard citizens' homes in Hajar, Qutaba and Murais with heavy-impact mortars, which are forbidden to use in urban cities, but some of them did not explode and become within reach of children, which poses a threat to their lives.

In a similar incident, citizen Muhammad Salem Haider, a resident of Al-Kadha villages in the west of Taiz governorate, was surprised by a huge explosion inside the house in 2017, and he was shocked when he saw his son and another child from his neighbors had turned to pieces.

The father confirms that the two children were playing with the remnants of a Houthi projectile that they found in the valley next to the house and took it with them inside the house before it exploded and snatched their souls.

Activists say that unexploded projectiles are no less dangerous than the ones that bombard the Houthi militia, explode and destroy homes and claim civilian lives, where over time they are more like mines and children playing with them means certain death.
