Aden, NewsYemen:

Russia's ambassador to Yemen, Vladimir Didushkin, renewed Moscow's support for the formation of the new government and the establishment of peace.

This came during a meeting with the caretaker prime minister, Maeen Abdulmalik, on Sunday, where the two parties discussed the final steps to form the government within a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement in all its political, military and security aspects.

The Russian ambassador expressed his confidence that the formation of the new government would represent an important breakthrough in various aspects, and affirmed his country's support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to bring peace to it.

In turn, the Prime Minister said, "The new government will be tasked with providing solutions on the ground and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people in various aspects."

Abdulmalik also reviewed Martin Griffiths' efforts to move the political process, and the required role of the international community and the permanent members of the Security Council to pressure the Houthis to "positively" deal with the UN moves.
