Brigadier General Tariq Saleh receives the Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Brigadier-General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, member of the Presidential Leadership Council and head of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance, received, on Tuesday, the Egyptian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farouk.
At the outset of the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador offered the member of the Presidential Council his congratulations on the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the transfer of power.
He wished the council success in its upcoming tasks to lead peace in Yemen and achieve stability throughout the country.
During the meeting, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh praised the distinguished bilateral relations that bind the two brotherly countries and peoples. He also praised the positions of Egypt's leadership and people on the side of the Yemeni people since the revolution of September 26, 1962, until today.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the Egyptian roles in support of Yemen and its government, to overcome the repercussions of the Houthi coup, which represents an extension of Iran's ambitions in Yemen and the countries of the region, as part of Tehran's tireless efforts to control the sea ports, especially in the Red Sea.
The two sides discussed the overall developments on the Yemeni arena and the importance of the results that emerged from the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, hosted by Riyadh under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf with the aim of achieving national reconciliation and pushing peace efforts forward.
Brigadier-General Tariq Saleh briefed the Egyptian ambassador on the priorities of the Presidential Command Council and its preparations to return to the liberated governorates, with the aim of working to consolidate the truce. He also pointed out the continued violations of the Houthi terrorist militia and its violation of the ceasefire decision, in flagrant defiance of the efforts made to achieve the peace that the Yemeni people seek.
He pointed out that the priorities of the Presidential Leadership Council are working to improve the economic situation and unify all efforts and capabilities within the framework of a joint leadership that serves the higher national interest.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador renewed Egypt's welcome to the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and its support and support for leading the new phase, and his wishes for the Yemeni people to overcome these difficult circumstances that hurt everyone; He stressed that Egypt is keen to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and hosts more than one million Yemenis on its lands who are treated as Egyptian citizens.
At the end of the meeting, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier Tariq Saleh, asked the Egyptian ambassador to convey his greetings to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, for her courageous Arab stances. He stressed that these positions are a source of pride for every Yemeni and Arab.
