Abyan unites against terrorism

The military and security leaders in the Shuqra axis dealt a painful blow to the Brotherhood's Islah Party and the Houthi militia, and announced their support for Siham al-Sharq "Arrows of the East" security campaign, launched by the Transitional Council forces to purify Abyan Governorate from terrorist groups.
Military forces affiliated with the Transitional Council entered, at dawn on Tuesday, the city of Shuqra, after understandings with the joint forces led by Brigadier General Sanad Al-Rahwa, and carried out a wide deployment operation to secure the city from terrorist elements, and deployed points on the coastline in the Ahwar District.
Brigadier General Abu Mishaal Al-Kazmi, director of Abyan security, confirmed, in a press statement, the participation of all his security units, within the military campaign, to eradicate terrorism from the governorate's districts, stressing that there is complete coordination between them and the STC in the Abyan axis.
A security source told NewsYemen that the southern forces will head towards the central and coastal areas, and the Al-Mahfad district in the governorate, to purge them of terrorist elements and impose security and stability there.
Specialists in military and security affairs expected the success of Operation Arrows of the East in ridding Abyan of terrorist groups, funded by the Brotherhood's Islah Party.
Journalist Ahmed al-Rubaizi considered the launch of Operation Siham al-Sharq a historic step, noting that Abyan governorate was one of the southern governorates most affected by terrorist groups.
The military analyst, Brigadier General Thabet Hussein Saleh, said that the military operation to purify Abyan from terrorist groups, and the operation waged by the southern forces in Shabwa towards Hadramawt, is being carried out with a legitimate legal cover in accordance with the measures approved by the Leadership Council, based on the Riyadh Agreement and the Riyadh Declaration.
He explained, in a post on Facebook, that the main objective of these operations is to establish security and stability in the southern liberated areas, cut off the Houthi brotherhood, and prepare to deal with the Houthis, peace or war.
In statements to South24, Saleh confirmed that Operation Arrows of the East comes in implementation of the military part of the Riyadh Agreement, and it will be successful and lightning, adding that the absence of the popular incubator for extremist organizations in Abyan enhances the success of the military operation.
Al-Yafei tweeted, that today Abyan has entered a new phase, the phase of its purification of terrorist groups and elements out of order and law, and the dropping of sectarian, extremist slogans, and takfiri beliefs imposed by these forces.
While the political analyst, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghaithi, expected the success of Operation Arrows of the East by liberating the districts of Abyan, and securing them from terrorism, which was taking the governorate as its starting point to target Shabwa and the capital, Aden.
