Aden, NewsYemen:

The Egyptian expert in international and strategic affairs and issues of war and peace, Dr. Anas Al-Qassas, said that the goal of the Iranian strategy is not limited to Yemen as much as it includes the entire Arab region.

Dr. Al-Qassas explained that "Yemen is a tactical target for a broader Iranian strategic goal that primarily targets Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states, all the way to threatening international navigation in the Red Sea."

While the Egyptian academic confirmed that the confessions of the maritime smuggling cell linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which was dismantled by the joint Yemeni forces on the western coast, include Iranian interference in Yemeni affairs within international terrorism.

He said in a statement carried by "December 2nd" agency: The Houthis' subordination to Iran, Iranian interference in Yemeni affairs, and supplying the Houthis with qualitative weapons are no longer a secret, but the confessions of the maritime smuggling cells, which were recently revealed by the Yemeni joint forces, confirmed the certainty.

Al-Qassas stated that studies and research centers interested in Iranian affairs have received the confessions of maritime smuggling cells, led by the arms smuggling cell, from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to the ports of Hodeidah, in western Yemen, with great interest due to the conclusive material evidence they constitute.

He added: The flow of Iranian weapons to the Houthis is exposed, and the satellites, by tracking the direction of international navigation, have previously shown marine boats smaller than ships that sailed from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas and entered Yemeni waters, and Iran has been trying to deny.

He continued: Today, here are the confessions of those involved in smuggling some arms shipments from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to the ports of Hodeidah, putting Iranian interference on the table.

The Egyptian expert noted that the cell's confessions put the international community in front of a legal and moral responsibility towards the Yemeni people and to deal with Iranian hostile activity as international terrorism.
