The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, renewed his call for southern leaders abroad to return and participate in the upcoming entitlements of the south, in conjunction with the Brotherhood's attempts to recall the stages of the conflict that the south witnessed in the past.
Al-Zubaidi's invitation came during his meeting, on Sunday evening, with the head of the Political Bureau of the Southern Revolutionary Movement Council, Fadi Hassan Baoum, who arrived in the capital, Aden, from Egypt, in response to the STC's call for the return of the southern leaders to their southern homeland.
Al-Zubaidi affirmed his keenness on the unity of the southern ranks within the framework of a true partnership that accommodates all, based on the absolute belief that the south will only be for each and all of its people.
For his part, Fadi Baoum announced, upon his arrival in Aden, the burning of all the pages of the dispute with the Transitional Council, adding: "We are the sons of today and the southern, tolerant, tolerant and supportive tomorrow, which will be the real foundations of our great national project," he said.
On Monday morning, the Political Bureau of the Revolutionary Movement held an extraordinary meeting in Aden headed by Fadi Baoum, in which he welcomed the national rapprochement with the Southern Transitional Council, noting that this rapprochement protects the south with the fence of reconciliation and tolerance, stressing that the southern cohesion is the main key to victory and the declaration of the southern state.
This step was welcomed by southern activists on social media, and they considered it a success for the policy of the Transitional Council aimed at achieving a true southern national consensus and reaching a single formula for approving the national honor charter among the various components.
The Transitional Council has previously formed a dialogue team of its leaders to communicate with southern leaders and components at home and abroad, with the council’s president declaring a tendency to expand the council’s bodies during the next phase to accommodate the largest number of southern figures and entities.
The steps of southern rapprochement coincided with the Brotherhood's attempts to recall the periods of conflict that the south witnessed during the seventies and eighties of the last century.
This was demonstrated by Al-Jazeera channel broadcasting, last Friday, a documentary film prepared by a member of the Brotherhood entitled "The Enemy Brothers" about the tragic events of January 13, 1986 among the leaders of the southern state at the time.
The film aroused the indignation of southern activists, who considered the timing of the film's broadcast as a blatant attempt by the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood to stoke discord among the people of the south in response to the defeats of its arm in Yemen at the hands of the southern forces.
Emphasizing that the southerners have overcome the effects of these conflicts through the reconciliation and tolerance activities launched by the Southern Movement since 2007, and reinforced by the approach of dialogue and rapprochement led by the Transitional Council.
