The shin guard reveals the tampering of Ittihad Al-Eisi with the national team's equipment

The scene of exchanging shin guards between the players of the national football team during the match that brought it together with its Saudi counterpart in the first group competitions of the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, Iraq, sparked anger and resentment among the Yemenis.
This scene revealed details of the futility, corruption, and disregard of the Yemeni Football Association for the national team and its equipment before participating in this tournament, which it had recently prepared for. Czech coach Miroslav Soukup refused to show even optimism about the team's level.
The sports journalist and editor-in-chief of Shoot newspaper Yazid al-Faqih said, in a post on his Facebook account, that "Ittihad Al-Eisi has contracted with Jaco Company to supply clothes and sports equipment for the national team," noting that the deal costs $65,000 and is paid directly by FIFA to the company.
He added, "However, because Al-Eisi's personalities are calcified, sterile in thought, seeking personal gain, the deal remained stalled for months. In the end, the team's clothes arrived late. The disaster is that they are summer clothes, and the tournament is in the winter in Basra."
And he continued, "The (frivolous) and corrupt federation does not care about the interest of the national team or the reputation of the country! Look at the condition of the players and their clothes to know the extent of the suffering! Support from FIFA and the clothes as well, and with that the failure continues and the fall continues," stressing that the administrative failure is due to Al-Eisi and his servants.
Local activists and journalists had expressed their dissatisfaction with this scene, which raised many questions about the support provided by the General Football Association to the national team.
Commenting on the scene, sports journalist Ali Al-Hamiri said, "I could not sleep from the horror of this scene... Al-Eisi and his servants have divine wrath upon you... You are not able to provide a shin guard for the player?"
As for the activist Hamid Al-Soufi, he mocked news published by the Yemeni Football Association website months ago regarding taking decisions to develop the federation and evaluate its work, stressing that after the Yemeni national team met with Saudi Arabia in the Gulf 25, the picture became clearer to the committee.
Added the shin guard is the same for both players, thank you Soukup for your supervision to replace the shin guard and put it in the right place. Thank you also for your frankness that the Yemen national team is a tuk-tuk that needs rehabilitation, development and support as well. We have great names and good players and I'm very thankful to them."
While journalist Rasha Kafi indicated that "this shot is capable of overthrowing the entire government, not only the federation and the Ministry of Sports." And she said, “Oh God, what a heart-breaking shot. A player gives his teammate the shin guard when substituting. To what degree does our national team play without the slightest rights by officials? On the other hand, the youngest official in the government has an apartment in Egypt or Turkey, in addition to the huge investments they have abroad.
As for the journalist and television director Murad Muhammad Saeed, he said that this matter made us a laughing stock and a place of astonishment in front of all Arabs.
And he added, "Oh, those responsible for Yemeni sports, each with his name and description.. If you do not have the ability to honorably participate in international events, there is no need for us to see such shameful footage!"
