Aden, NewsYemen:

The local authority in the capital, Aden, responded to the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council regarding the supply of governorate revenues to the Central Bank of Yemen.

An official source in the local authority in the capital, Aden, said that the leadership of the local authority, represented by the Minister of State, the governor of the capital, followed with great interest the meeting held by the Presidential Leadership Council on Monday, and the resulting decisions and directives to resolve the service situation in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates.

The source pointed out that the leadership of the local authority expressed its satisfaction with the positive and rapid handling by the Presidential Leadership Council with the demands it submitted regarding solving the problem of the electricity sector, by directing the government to provide oil derivatives for the electrical system.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the local authority confirmed its full compliance with the directives issued by the meeting and to start supplying revenues to the Central Bank, to ensure the progress of procedures and alleviate the human suffering of citizens.

And the response of the Aden authority to the decision of the Presidential Leadership Council confirms that its problem with the government was administrative and not political, as some forces tried to portray it.

The Presidential Leadership Council, in its meeting, on Monday, headed by Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, directed the government to continue providing oil derivatives for the electrical system in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, in a way that alleviates the human suffering of citizens, and activate legal mechanisms to carry out their tasks in accordance with the constitution and the law.

On the other hand, the Council instructed the Minister of State and Governor of the Capital to quickly transfer central revenues to the Central Bank.

With these directives, the Presidential Council sought to defuse the crisis between the local authority in Aden and the Manasfa government, against the backdrop of Minister Ahmed Lamlas' decision to stop the supply of the governorate's revenues to the Central Bank, in response to the government's evasion of its duties to provide fuel for power stations in conjunction with the rise in temperatures.
