The United Nations said on Friday that nine civilians were killed and 13 others wounded in al-Hodeida and Hajjah provinces in Yemen.

The United Nations do not name as usual the responsible party who caused the killing of civilians, including women and children, due to the shelling on residential neighborhoods.

The UN Humanitarian Affairs Office said that eight civilians were killed and ten others were wounded on Tuesday in an artillery projectile on a market west al-Tuhaita district, west al-Hodeida province.

Al-Tuhaita district was targeted daily by the Houthi militias backed by Iran. Hais district in al-Hodeida also was targeted by the armed militias.

The UN statement did not mention the casualties who were killed or injured in the two districts by mortars’ shells or by snipers.

The statement added that there were uncertain reports that a woman was killed and three children injured on Wednesday when a house was targeted in al-Kushar district in Hajjah province.

Hajoor tribes experience heavily displacement of civilians under the heavily shelling of the Houthi militias.

A number of civilians were killed and others injured because of the siege as well as the armed militias prevent to rush the injured into hospitals or to receive first aid.
