The Islah Party (the branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen) begins its pressure on Taiz governors by demanding billions of riyals to launch the so-called the annual liberation battle for the third consecutive year.

A military source told Newsyemen that the Islah Party asks for the new governor of Taiz Mr. Nabil Shamsan to pay five billion riyals, to get the funds from the government and the Arab Coalition to complete the liberation of Taiz province.

According to the source, the governor Shamsan presented the plan of liberation, prepared by the Muslim Brotherhood, to the President and the Prime Minister and the leadership of the Coalition, and requested funding for the plan, estimated at five billion riyals, pointing to the lack of interaction of concerned bodies with such request until the moment.

The source said that the Legitimacy and the Coalition coldly deal with Taiz governor's request so as to implement the Understandings of Sweden agreement, as they are convinced of the Brotherhood's lack of seriousness in achieving any field progress in the province.

The source added: "If the amount allocated for the battle, the Brotherhood will move the fronts for two weeks, and then they will say that they received orders to stop the battle, as happened in the past two years.

It is noteworthy that the government spent last year three billion riyals for the liberation battle in Taiz, it was ordered by the Brigadier Adnan Ruzaiq, the head of the Taiz operations axis and the commander of the Fifth Brigade Presidential Guard, and the Coalition warplanes participated in 250 airstrikes.

The army brigades controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood did not achieve any field progress in the outskirts of Taiz city. The battle ended with the liberation of al-Selw area by the 35th armored brigade. The brigade received only five million riyals by the leadership of the axis.

The phantom battles became an annual military practice in which dozens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded were killed, billions of riyals went to the black hole (the Muslim Brotherhood), and the Houthi militias, Iran's arm in Yemen, still besiege Taiz city, and target the city's neighborhoods till now.
