A senior leader in the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, said that his group had concluded an unspoken truce, with the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, on all fronts of the fighting.

"There was an unspoken truce between the Islah party and the Houthi group, on all fronts," said leader Mohamed al-Bakhiti, a member of the so-called “political council” of the Houthis.

The Houthi leader accused the Brotherhood of what he called “breaching the armistice,” considering the recent military escalation in the Naham front, east of Sanaa, in response to those violations.

Al-Bukhaiti talked, as part of his intervention in the “Ma Waraa Alkhaber” program, about an agreement reached by the Houthis and the Brotherhood earlier to attack the joint forces in the West Coast front, via Taiz Governorate.

As of now, there has been no official comment or response from the Islah party to the allegations made by Houthi leader Mohammed al-Bakhiti, via the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel.
