A young American of Yemeni origin was shot and killed in New York State in the second murder that affected the Yemeni community in the United States within days.

Jurist Mohamed Allaw, head of the Aid Association for Human Rights and Immigration, said that the 20-year-old Yemeni-American citizen, Mohammed Yahya Qutaish, was killed on Tuesday afternoon in the Bronx, New York.

He explained that "Qutaish", who works in the field of takeaway, was shot in his shop, which led to his death.

Allaw pointed out that this is the second murder of a Yemeni-American youth in New York City in less than five days in light of the negligence and total disregard by the Yemeni embassy, which is controlled by the Islah Party in New York.

He added, "We do not know his relatives here in New York and the hospital is asking for authorization from his family .. We hope those who meet the young man to contact his family to contact us."

The Yemeni-American youth, Yahya Al-Muntasir, was killed Friday in his store in the Bronx area of New York City, while the killer escaped and the city's security authorities were unable to arrest the killer so far, according to the information circulated.

A statement issued by the League, in a statement condemning the murder of the victor, said, "This hideous crime comes as a continuation of what appears to have become a phenomenon of targeting and aggression against Yemeni merchants in America, which has intensified this period."
