Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

An official document revealed that a member of the House of Representatives submitted a question to the legitimate government about the file of the “Yemeniah” company, and that its headquarters in Sanaa remained under the control of the Houthi militia.

Member of Parliament Abdul-Khaleq bin Shaihoon sent a letter to Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani, requesting that a letter be addressed to the Prime Minister to answer his question about the government’s failure to transfer the airline’s office from Sanaa to Aden.

Bin Shihoun said that the airline office is still subject to the Houthis until this moment, including the issuance of tickets. He also wondered about the government's failure to address the international bodies to supply the fees for air traffic in Yemeni airspace to the legitimate government, as he said that they are still "supplied to the Houthis to be killed with it."  Yemeni people.

He wondered about the reasons for the exorbitant prices of tickets in Yemeni aviation compared to international and regional airline tickets, and said that the former should be parallel to them, if not less.

The parliamentarian’s questions come days after statements made by a former official in the General Authority of Civil Aviation during the past few days, in which he revealed shocking information about this file, indicating blatant complicity by the Brotherhood-controlled legitimacy with the Houthi group.

Where the former Director General of Training at the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Yahya Al-Jama’i, revealed, in two separate interviews he conducted with “Al-Ghad Al-Mashriq” and “Yemen Shabab” channels during the past few days, that the authority’s headquarters remained in Sana’a despite the decision to transfer it to Aden in August 2015.  The case with Yemenia Airlines.

Al-Jami confirmed that "dynastic" leaders in the legitimacy are working for the Houthi group, working to keep the situation as it is, warning of the danger of keeping the authority and aviation file in the hands of the group, especially in the security aspect.

Expressing his astonishment at the failure to activate the decision to transfer the General Authority of Aviation to Aden, despite the decision obtaining Arab and international recognition, pointing out that the airspace transit fees paid by airlines in return for their passage in Yemeni airspace are imported to Sanaa, even though they reach the Central Bank in Aden.

Al-Jami revealed that these fees range between 3-5 million dollars per month, and that the total of these revenues since August 2015 amounted to about 250 million dollars that went to the authority’s headquarters in Sana’a, submitting statements to the authority’s account in the Credit Bank in Sana’a revealing the disbursement of huge sums to Houthi leaders from these fees.

What is remarkable is what Al-Jama'i revealed about the role played by the former Minister of Transport, Saleh Al-Jabwani - one of the Brotherhood's tools within the legitimacy - who took over the ministry for three years, without taking any actual step to move the authority's headquarters to Aden, despite receiving an integrated plan and an executive program from the leaders of the authority.

He said that the former Central Bank Governor Hafez Mayad had refused to transfer the monthly fees to Sanaa, amounting to 5 million dollars, for al-Jabwani to intervene and persuade Mayad to cancel his decision, so that Mayad insisted on transferring salaries only from fees and supplying the rest to the account of the government, and after his dismissal al-Jabwani was able to exchange the differences that  It was booked by a clinic and amounted to $28 million.

Al-Jami revealed a shocking truth, as he said that the Houthi leadership in Sanaa issued a decision appointing one of its elements as assistant director general for the security authorities at Aden Airport, and that the man arrived in Aden and started his shift to be stopped by the current Minister of Transport, Abdul Salam Hamid, who is affiliated with the Transitional Council.

He pointed out that Minister Humaid has taken serious steps, including moving the air operations center to Aden, but he indicated that the ticket management and ground operations in Yemeni Airlines are still managed from Sana'a, warning of the danger of that.

He explained that this gives the Houthi group a source of dangerous intelligence information for all travelers to and from Yemen, whether they are citizens or officials in the legitimate government or others, stressing that the process of transferring the Yemeni Airways office to Aden is a very simple matter, and you need to sign a decision, some display devices, and a number of  of computers, he said.
