Ibb, NewsYemen:

Human rights defenders and activists demanded the reopening of the "psychological clinic" in Ibb governorate, after years of its closure by the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen.

The demands to open the psychiatric clinic came after an attack on a citizen by a "crazy" mentally ill person on a street in the city of Ibb.

Local sources said that a citizen was seriously injured after being hit in the head with a sharp ax / sharp object in the city of Ibb.

added that a person believed to be mentally unstable, holding an ax in his hand, hit a citizen in the head while entering a mobile shop near the market in the "Al-Zahhar" area in the city of Ibb.

It demanded an investigation into the case of assaulting the citizen with a sharp object, and doubted that he was "crazy" or mentally disturbed, especially since the perpetrator fled after the crime.

Ibb activists and human rights defenders renewed their continuous demand to put an end to the spread of insane and mentally ill people from the streets of Ibb, take care of them and transfer them to a place of their own.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi militia closed the "psychological clinic" in the city of Ibb in 2015, and expelled the patients to the streets.
