Saada, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Military sources in the 10th Border Brigade of the government forces in Al-Jawf governorate confirmed that the combat operations on the Bart Al-Anan front have entered a new phase, by moving to open areas that will lead towards the center of the district located on the edge of Saada governorate, the stronghold of the Iranian-backed militias.

The sources said that the fighting moved to the "Lajerf" area, after the liberation of a mountain range and the village of "Qubyan" in the vicinity of the "Al-Qa'if" front in the Bart Al-Anan district, yesterday, by government forces backed by tribes and fighters of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It added: "Following the advance on the Qaif front, and the liberation of the mountains and the village of Qubyan, the militias fled towards Lajrif, which is an open area in which Houthi elements cannot fight, and its liberation will lead us directly to the center of the district of Bart Al-Anan."

The Al-Qaif front, northwest of Al-Jawf, witnessed fierce fighting between government forces and Houthi militias during the past weeks, after the latter's attempt to advance towards the "Al-Juaid" hill, which was thwarted by government forces backed by coalition fighters, and counterattacks against Houthi positions led to their escape.  From Qubian and its surroundings towards “Lijerf”, which is an unfortified area and is not surrounded by mountains or hills, in which it is difficult to fight by the Houthi elements who rely on fortification, booby-traps and planting mines in their fight.
