Taiz.. A massive demonstration calling for the departure of the Brotherhood's authority and the accountability of the military and security leaders

Taiz, NewsYemen:

Thousands of citizens participated in a massive rally demanding the overthrow of the authority of the terrorist Brotherhood and the accountability of gangs of corruption and organized crime, today, Saturday, in the city of Taiz in central Yemen.

Through the statement of the demonstration called by the popular movement to save Taiz (it is enough) that their mass mobilization is an affirmation of the approach of the peaceful civil option in the process of change and a serious and practical expression that Taiz is still capable of defending its civility, and defeating the machine of killing, chaos, death, destruction and corruption, as well as victory.  To the values of the modern civil state, law, citizenship and human rights.

The statement pointed to the seriousness of the growing human rights violations, the spread of crime, the widening of grievances, the looting of lands, the robbery of the governorate's resources, the disruption of the work of state institutions, the spread of armed manifestations, the complete militarization of civil space, the continued absence of the forcibly disappeared, and the existence of secret prisons.

The Brotherhood obstructed litigation procedures for extrajudicial executions and other manifestations of lawlessness, chaos and cover-up of mass grave crimes, and failure to reveal the perpetrators and victims of the crime.

The demonstration's statement also accused the Brotherhood's authority of (immunizing crime bosses with a security, military and political cover, impunity for criminals and perpetrators and enabling them to occupy key positions in the army and security).

The statement considered, "The heinous crime against the burning family and their abuse, and the continuation of the perpetrators outside the control agencies, is nothing but a continuation of a policy and approach that gives killers and criminals a cover of protection and immunity, and that the most prominent perpetrators of chaos, violators of human rights, undermining the performance of state institutions and looting its resources are individuals and leaders affiliated with the army institution and since  For years, no serious measures have been taken against them.

The statement of the Al-Shuaiba movement’s demonstration to save Taiz from the gangs of the terrorist Brotherhood raised seven demands, which (NewsYmen publishes as stated in the statement).

 1- The dismissal of all corrupt and human rights-violating military leaders who give criminals a protective cover and empower them with the capabilities of the army to attack the city, its citizens and the rights of the people.  Building and restructuring the army and security institution on professional and national foundations and standards.

 2- Arresting the perpetrators of murder and looting wanted by the security forces and bringing them to justice. This will only be possible by lifting the immunity and military cover from the army leaders on all those wanted by the security who are affiliated with the army and the security forces and giving them a fair trial, because this is a necessary prelude to restore the institution of the army.

3- We demand the disclosure of the results of the crimes of mass graves discovered two years ago, the disclosure of their victims and the perpetrators of the crime, bringing them to justice, and conducting a fair, public and transparent trial.

 3- Uncovering the fate of the forcibly disappeared, releasing them, making reparations, and closing secret prisons.

 4- Criminalization of the army institution’s interference in the tasks of the local authority and the collection of the governorate’s resources, and the speedy evacuation of public and private facilities from the military presence.

 5- Repositioning the camps outside the populated areas, and ending the military manifestations of the city.

 6- We demand the Presidency of the Republic and the government regularly to pay the salaries of the army and security personnel and to put in place serious institutional measures to treat the wounded through the rehabilitation of government hospitals.

 7- Ending duplication of jobs in the military, security and civil institutions through the implementation of the fingerprint system to end the manifestations of duplication.
