Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

Educational sources in Sana'a said that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, prevented private schools from distributing books for some school subjects with old editions and obliged them to wait for their delivery of the new editions that had been modified.

The sources added to NewsYemen that some private schools had started distributing copies of previous editions of books for some subjects to their students, most notably the Holy Qur’an, hadith and jurisprudence, Islamic education, national education, history, social sciences, and the Arabic language, but directives were issued to them by education offices on  The level of the directorates and the Department of Private Education in the Office of Education in Sana'a to stop distributing books with old editions and wait for the new editions of the curricula, which will be distributed to them during the next two weeks.

According to educational sources, the books that the militias will distribute have undergone radical modifications, especially with regard to including new information related to the ideas and trends of the militias, such as the subject of guardianship, the divine right to rule, and referring to the conflicts that occurred between Muslims, especially Ali and Muawiyah, the killing of Hussein, and other issues.  which the militias are trying to establish in the students’ minds as postulates and principles within the curricula and issues of a religious nature, noting that the amendments also included attacking the republican regime that was established after the September 26 revolution and criticizing it with many allegations, including that it did not achieve any achievements, and at the same time glorified the day of the coup  The militias seized power on September 21, which they approved as a national occasion and turned it into an official holiday.

It is worth noting that the Houthi militia, since its control over state institutions, and after appointing the brother of the militia leader Yahya Badr al-Din al-Houthi as Minister of Education, has embarked on the process of introducing amendments to the educational curricula that included issues related to its racist project, its extremist sectarian ideas, and its militia political orientation, which began gradually before  It has escalated significantly over the last two years.
