Sana'a, NewsYemen, a special report:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, since its takeover of Sanaa and state institutions on September 21, 2014 by force of arms, has held celebrations for several political and sectarian occasions of its own, including State Day (Al-Ghadeer Day) and "Muslim Women's Day", and the anniversary of the death of its founder Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi and his father, Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the anniversary of its fateful coup.

Although the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday during the past decades remained one of the occasions in which people were allowed to celebrate the way that suits them and suits them away from the interference of the state and its authorities, the Houthi militias, to take advantage of this occasion as an occasion of their own as a sectarian and political movement, proceeded to revive the celebration of this occasion. In its own way, it has nothing to do with the greatness of this occasion, the values of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, or the principles of his Islamic message.

An occasion to perpetuate the culture of Iran

Despite the widespread doctrinal position that considered celebrating the Prophet’s birthday a kind of heresy and forbidding it, there is no difference between Yemenis that the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, during the past decades since the Yemeni revolution of September 26 and October 14, and even after the establishment of the Republic of Yemen in 1990 AD, was a religious occasion that left people freedom And the way to celebrate it, as ceremonial birthdays were held, witnessing ceremonial songs and birthdays far from politicized methods, until the Houthi militia came and overthrew the power and began transforming the occasion of celebrating the Prophet’s birthday into an occasion to spread slogans related to Iran and the thought of the mullahs who rule it.

Perhaps the most prominent evidence of this is the Houthi militia's keenness to use the green color associated with Iran to decorate streets, shops, homes and the headquarters of official state institutions in a hysterical manner similar to the same festive methods and decorating the streets in Tehran on this occasion.

Similar to the Iranian methods that intend to use this occasion to spread a culture of hatred for other sects and to show that they love the Prophet and celebrate his birth, the Houthi militias repeat the same methods by linking the celebration of this occasion to the issuance of political and religious positions against their opponents, as well as confirming their political connection to the so-called axis of resistance they lead. Iran.

Spreading the concepts of atonement against the other

In the speeches of the leader of the Houthi militias, the militias use the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday to spread the concepts of atonement of the other from their opponents, whether sectarian or political. We note in the speech of the militia leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, which he delivered, on Thursday, October 7, that he atones those who claim to be followers of the Wahhabi movement for their position. From celebrating the birth of the Prophet, and he considers them to be infidels, while describing everyone who declares a position against and opposed to the policy and trends of the militias with regard to celebrating the birth of the Prophet as hypocrites, similar to the hypocrites who were present in Medina during the period of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

The same thought is launched by the media and militia leaders against everyone who criticizes the way they celebrate and the methods used in this event, and as evidence of this, Houthi political and media leaders launched a campaign of infidelity and treason against everyone who published a position opposing the way the militias celebrate the Prophet’s birthday by collecting people’s money and describing them as hypocrites.

The positions of militia leaders, politicians, media professionals and activists almost agree that everyone who expresses any opinion about their celebration of the Prophet’s birth by these methods is an infidel, hypocrite, agent, mercenary and affiliated with the coalition countries, and claims that he receives sums of money from them for the positions he publishes, even if they are supported by evidence that confirms his position. It is the same method and method used by the militias to expiate all their opponents and opponents who criticize, reject or express their position on the slogan of its own cry of death, which it took as an imitation of Iran's political positions.

Citizen theft in the name of (the Prophet)

Several days ago, the Houthi leader and member of the so-called political council, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, published a tweet on his Twitter page, in which he proposed deducting a premium from the salary of each employee once a year to build a hospital in the name of the Prophet Muhammad on the occasion of the commemoration of his birth.

The tweet drew widespread criticism, even from some media professionals and activists affiliated with the militias, who were surprised by such a proposal in light of the interruption of the salaries of the employees and the non-delivery of the militias to their salaries for six years. He put forward this proposal, which was approved by the government, and he proceeded to publish the decision of the government's approval of his proposal in Quranic verses.

Al-Houthi’s proposal to deduct a portion of the employees’ salaries or half the salary that the militias spend from time to time was considered the latest method of extortion and looting practiced by the militias against people’s money in the name of celebrating the birth of the Prophet.

In this context, the socialist leader loyal to the Houthi militia, who held the position of a member of the so-called Supreme Revolutionary Committee headed by Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, which took over the administration of power after the militia coup, criticized this position and said in a tweet to him on Twitter, "God and His Messenger are more beloved to us than Ourselves and we will do what we can against those who provoke us in our belief in them, but we do not see a danger to them, and we believe with certainty that taking people’s money unjustly in the name of celebrating the memory of the Noble Prophet offends our Noble Prophet and provokes us in our belief in him and our love for him and spoils the honorable occasion with his fragrant memory.

On the other hand, Houthi political and media leaders launched a major attack on Al-Maqaleh, describing him as a hypocrite and echoing the positions of the enemies, and thus he is hostile to the Prophet.

Some of them went to deny the existence of any levies on people’s money. Indeed, in his last speech, the militia leader claimed that there are no levies on people’s money in the name of this occasion. Rather, he went to claim by saying, For the occasion, and if anyone is pressured to cooperate for this occasion, he can report through the numbers that were distributed for complaints).

Commenting on the allegations of the militia leader, in which he called on anyone who imposes levies on him to inform the competent authorities, the writer, journalist and activist Kamel Al-Khoudani said: (Someone says to this impostor that the one who imposes levies in the first place is the competent authorities. gas tank).

Al-Khoudani’s comment is consistent with one of the militias’ methods that are keen to link the distribution of household gas to the donation of the event to celebrate the Prophet’s birthday, which was confirmed by a number of Oqal Al-Harat in Sana’a in statements to NewsYemen, who said: This year, the Houthi militias informed them of the need to collect the value of gas cylinders from the citizens A week before the date of its delivery, they stipulated that the process of receiving the gas value from each citizen be linked to his donation for the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.

And they added: The militia committees supervising the distribution of gas in the districts asked them for lists of the names of the citizens who paid the value of gas cylinders at the neighborhood level, accompanied by statements of what each citizen donated to celebrate the Prophet’s birthday, and so that these committees assess the extent to which every sane neighborhood exerts pressure on the residents of his neighborhood to donate to this He urged them to use the subject of obtaining gas cylinders as a form of pressure for fundraising.

Collecting donations through Aqal Al-Harat coincides with the operations of levies that include all large and small private sector companies, shops and institutions in Sana’a and the rest of the Houthi militia-controlled areas, and obligating them to pay cash and in-kind donations to the activities organized by the militias in the name of celebrating the birth of the Prophet.

And one of the owners of the halls in Sana’a revealed in a recorded video, the militias’ attempt to force him to open his hall for them to hold a festive event for the Prophet without paying the rent. If the messenger was present, would he have entered the hall without paying its rent...? He would have paid double the rent.

In addition, the militias force all institutions, companies and shops to hang green cloth slogans as an expression of the celebration of the birth, and require them to purchase these slogans and fabrics from shops and propaganda companies affiliated with some militia leaders.

(Ibrahim M.S.), the owner of an advertising company in Sanaa, told NewsYemen: The Houthi militia forces merchants to buy fabrics, billboards, and all advertising requirements to celebrate the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, and even the rest of their activities from limited advertising companies, which are affiliated with Houthi leaders. This is how you can collect hundreds of millions of riyals.

He added: Most, if not all advertising companies in Sana'a, are not allowed to work in this aspect except within the limits of their relations with some merchants who are forced to hang the ceremonial slogans of the Prophet's birthday at the request of the militias, and they stipulate in return that they buy these slogans as appropriate, while forced Too much to go to predetermined companies.

The exploitations to celebrate the birth of the Prophet by the Houthi militia extend to turning it into an opportunity to practice financial corruption within state institutions. Where special budgets are allocated by these institutions with the justification of celebrating the Prophet's birthday, which allows the Houthi leaders who run these institutions to carry out theft and looting of these budgets.

Muhammad Abu Asim, an employee of the Control and Accountability Authority, which is under the control of the militias, told NewsYemen: The committees of the agency discovered looting and embezzlement of millions of riyals in several government institutions in the name of supporting and holding events to celebrate the Prophet’s birthday during the previous years.

He added: Although the committees submitted reports with the names of leaders accused of embezzlement, most of them, if not all, are Houthi leaders, but these reports are either hidden by the leadership of the agency sometimes or by the presidential office at other times.
