Gargash: The international community is required to protect Yemeni civilians from the Houthi militia

The Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the UAE, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, discussed with the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, the international efforts to reach a political solution to end the Yemeni crisis.
The meeting dealt with developments related to the Yemeni file and the efforts undertaken by the United Nations and relevant countries to reach a ceasefire and a political solution that leads to peace and stability in Yemen.
Gargash affirmed the UAE's support for all political efforts aimed at ending the crisis, and its commitment to supporting the UN envoy in his efforts to provide a guarantor atmosphere for the Yemeni parties to reach a consensus that guarantees Yemen's prosperity and development.
He praised the efforts led by Saudi Arabia in this context, and condemned the continued Houthi attacks on Saudi civilians; He added that the international community is required to mobilize support to protect Yemeni civilians from the Houthi militia's insistence on prolonging the war and continuing the fighting.
In turn, Hans Grundberg reviewed the latest developments related to the efforts of the United Nations to end the Yemeni crisis and the results of his meetings with various parties; Appreciating the support of the UAE for his efforts in his mission.
