The leadership of the Southern Transitional Council inaugurated, on Thursday, in the capital, Aden, the work of the consultative meeting of the southern political components and parties and civil society organizations, which will be held during the period 4-7 May, under the slogan "For a new south that embodies the aspirations of the people of the south for independence and the restoration of the independent federal state of the south."

The meeting will be held with the participation of (270) participants from all the southern forces present at home and abroad. It aims to strengthen the unity of the southern ranks and end the political differences between the various components, political parties and southern civil society organizations.

During the inauguration activities, which were attended by the former Minister of Defense, Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council - President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, indicated that this meeting from the capital of the south, Aden, is a new era of struggle in which the participants will lay another brick in the course of strengthening the unity of the southern ranks, to confirm that dialogue is a civilized means to resolve issues and end political differences.

He added that the convening of this meeting coincides with the sixth anniversary of the historic Aden Declaration, and is considered a clear embodiment of everyone's commitment to what was expressed by the southern popular will on that historic day by establishing a political entity to manage the affairs of the south in order to achieve the goal of restoring the state on the base of the south for all and all of its people.

He stressed that the Southern Transitional Council, since its establishment, has pursued and committed to dialogue and will continue to do so in order to create a partnership with all political forces and components to defend the rights of the southern people and protect their gains.

In his speech, Al-Zubaidi touched on the developments of the political process and the efforts of the international community to stop the war and start a comprehensive settlement, reiterating the position of the Transitional Council in support of the efforts of the brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the international community aimed at stopping the war and establishing peace, stressing that the most important conditions for the engagement of The council in the partnership process emanating from the Riyadh agreement and consultations is to address the economic situation, improve living conditions, and provide basic services in the liberated southern governorates.

For his part, Dr. Salih Mohsen Al-Hajj, head of the internal southern national dialogue team, confirmed that the dialogue team was keen to involve everyone in this national mission and exerted its utmost efforts with all southern parties to be strongly present in these days, and the response came with the importance of this great southern country, as The number of delegates reached (270) participants from all the southern powers, indicating that the dialogue team is still opening its heart before its hand to everyone without exception for positive engagement with the national project for the people of the south and building a southern consensus and alignment, which we hope will be crowned with success by all on the Southern National Pact.

During the inauguration, a theatrical sketch was shown in which a number of buds from the south performed a paragraph that expressed the importance of the culture of dialogue and defense of the cause of the south and the hopes and aspirations of its people represented in restoring the independent federal state.

In the second session of the first day of the consultative meeting, the documents for the meeting that will be discussed were distributed, as the mechanism for managing this meeting was discussed during the days of its convening, which will last for four days in a row.
