The southern components participating in the consultative meeting in the capital, Aden, signed a national charter that defines the foundations and principles of the southern vision for the current stage, the upcoming political negotiation, and the building of the next federal state.

The signing ceremony took place at the end of the closing session of the consultative meeting, which lasted for four days, in the presence of the President of the Southern Transitional Council - member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi.

The National Pact, which was signed by the leaders of the southern political and social components, included a number of documents, the most important of which are: the draft foundations and principles of the Southern National Pact, the draft directions for the political vision for the current stage, the draft principles and controls for the upcoming political negotiation, and the draft directions for the foundations of building the next federal southern state.

In turn, the President of the Transitional Council, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, affirmed that the signing of the Southern National Charter is a great success for the Southern Consultative Meeting, and said that this day will be written in letters of light in the struggle of the people of the South to restore their state, and reaffirm that the door of dialogue will remain open to all. To catch up and be partners in building the desired federal southern state.

After that, the final statement of the consultative meeting was read, which urged the southern components that did not participate in the meeting to join the signatories of the Southern National Pact.

He stressed the importance of upholding the language of dialogue in southern society as a civilized means of bringing points of view closer, settling political differences, promoting the approach of reconciliation and tolerance, and continuing dialogue efforts among all.

The statement called for renouncing the phenomenon of revenge, tribal strife, and phenomena alien to southern society, and the importance of a prudent and balanced media discourse that enhances the unity and cohesion of the southern societal fabric.

The closing statement of the meeting confirmed the signing of 330 representatives of the southern partisan, political and social forces on documents that included the Southern National Charter, the political vision for the current stage, the controls for the upcoming political negotiation, and the foundations for building the next federal southern state.

The participants in the meeting recommended the necessity of preserving the civilizational and cultural heritage of each of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, following up and implementing the outcomes of the consultative meeting, continuing the efforts of the Southern National Dialogue and promoting the principle of reconciliation and tolerance.

They also recommended sponsoring the youth and women sectors as the pillar of society and the address of its future, and achieving national partnership in the southern federal state.

For his part, the official spokesman for the Southern National Dialogue Team, Nasr Harhara, explained that the signing ceremony represents an important station in the dialogue, pointing out that the door of dialogue is still open and continuous for all southern components, and it will continue as a way of life and a civilized way to solve problems.
