The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Peter Maurer, arrived in Sana'a on Wednesday to talk to the Houthis about the "devastating effects of the war in Yemen."

"I arrived in Yemen today to talk to the authorities in Sanaa and Aden about the devastating effects of this endless war," Maurer said on his Twitter account.

"It is horrible," he said. "80% of people need humanitarian assistance, and 18 million lack clean water."

According to the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, 4 million Yemenis are displaced, while 20 million are without health care.
