Houthi shells kill civilians in al-Hodeida
English - Monday 14 January 2019 الساعة 01:23 pmA medical source said to Newsyemen that eight civilians were killed by Houthi artillery shelling on their houses in al-Hodeida province, west Yemen.
The Houthi militias pounded a number of shells on Saturday in conjunction with a failed attack on the sites of the Joint Resistance Forces.
A civilian was also injured in the Houthi shelling, the medical source added.
The source added that two civilians were killed in al-Salakhana neighborhood in al-Hali district
Another civilian was killed in al-Zabareyah neighborhood in al-Mena district in al-Hodeida province.
The source added that five civilians were injured in al-Salakhana neighborhoods, and Ghulail and al-Rabsa areas in al-Hawk district in the province.
A local source said that the Houthi militias fired the mortar’s shell and fell down on a house near the Civil Status Department in al-Salakhana neighborhood. The house was completely destroyed.
A number of physicians working at the Motherhood and Childhood Hospital of the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) suspended their work for nearly four hours because the Houthi militias fired tens of shells at sites surrounded the hospital.
Sources at the MSF said they are expecting the shells to fall down at the hospital.
