Cairo, Newsyemen, private:

Salah al-Din Ahmad al-Muhammadi, a Yemeni wounded man in the Republic of Egypt, gave his blood for the liberation of the homeland from the Houthi militia 3 years ago, but after his injury he found himself surrounded by a large corruption lobby represented by the representatives of the military brigades of the National Army and who deprived him of his minimum rights.

Salah is one of about 20 Yemeni wounded who have been languishing for 6 months without salaries, and deliberate medical neglect doubled their health and caused them physical disabilities and distortions.

The painful story of Muhammadi started when he left his rural village in Al-Hujariyah area of Taiz governorate, heading to Ma'rib Governorate and joined the National Army in the Nehm front to fight the Houthi militias before he moved to fight on the Kettaf axis of the Sixth Military Region.

Al-Muhammadi participated with the first young men who joined the frontline fighting frontiers through the fifth batch of special forces that played a pivotal role in charting the battle against the Houthi militia in its mother stronghold in Saada Governorate.

He fought with the heroes of the Kettaf axis, fighting the liberation of the mountains of "Al-Tha’ar", "Hobeish" and "Al-Shaab", but during the battle he was wounded by a treacherous shot from a Houthi modified weapon targeting him in the head, and was subsequently transferred to Najran for treatment.

Two years after his injury, al-Muhammadi decided to travel to Egypt on his own account, relying on his salary, which he was receiving from Kettaf axis, but this did not last long.

A year ago, he found himself sitting in Egypt with a disability without drugs and treatments, and when he decided to reveal his story to the media, he was totally deprived of the salary, according to his talk to "Newsyemen".

"I have become dependent on my family," he says. "We are waiting for the salary so we can pay for the treatment bills."

He adds: I suffer from epileptic seizures and deteriorating health conditions and the value of treatment is hardly available by my friends or through aid to good men.

According to medical reports, Muhammadi suffers from stiffness in the left half of the body, after suffering a gunshot wound to the head, as well as epileptic seizures, and he needs to complete the drug and physical therapy in order to improve his health.

The monthly treatment costs for the injured Mohammedi are 3 thousand Egyptian pounds, according to the Al-Manar Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Center.

Al-Mohammadi continued his speech: "We did not find more than vanity and arrogance as we struggle and demand our stolen rights ... Instead of being honored as wounded, we sacrificed ourselves in order to defeat the Houthi project and we found ourselves mocked before the military leaders in the axis of the Kettaf."

At the end of his conversation with "Newsyemen," Al-Muhammadi asked: Is honoring the wounded person and his sacrifices by cutting his salary?

Private sources said to "Newsyemen", that the delegate of the wounded in the axis of Kettaf aixis in Egypt, named Dr. Majed Al-Mahjar, practices deliberate neglect against some of the wounded, as he worked to travel many to India to receive treatment and others remained facing the most severe health conditions.
