Marib, NewsYemen:

Security sources in the Marib governorate said that the legitimate security forces led by the Muslim Brotherhood are carrying out an unfair arrest campaign against what they called the Houthi sleeper cells in the city of Marib.

The sources added that the Special Security Forces led by Abu Shaalan, one of the leaders close to Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar, has been raiding homes, popular quarters and hotels for days, to arrest people on the charge that they are working for the Houthi militia to bring down Marib from the inside.

The sources indicated that the majority of the detainees are from the governorates of Taiz, Wab, Raymah, Hodeidah, and Wisab, and most of them are displaced persons and simple workers, some of them were arrested from the workers' quarry in the city of Marib and were placed in prisons for investigation on charges of working for the Houthi militia.

Military leaders affiliated with the legitimacy and present in Marib criticized these procedures in WhatsApp groups for these leaders, and considered them to be one of the aspects of security failure and an attempt to misrepresent public opinion that the Special Security Forces were busy with tasks inside the city of Marib so that these forces would not be transferred to reinforce the war fronts in the Murad tribe areas.

The military leaders considered these arrests illegal and arbitrary and did not differ from the practices carried out by the Houthi militia in their areas of control, and they demanded the formation of a military committee to visit prisons and inform the security leaders of their violations against civilians and displaced persons.
