Mocha turned into an active commercial movement on the afternoon of Tuesday, the first of the holy month, days after the people were reluctant to buy their needs, due to the high prices exceeding their financial income.

The markets witnessed an unusual overcrowding of shoppers, as the people began to buy their needs, while some found in the holy month an opportunity to sell and earn a livelihood, by selling meals related to the fasting of the fasting people.

The large areas on the sides of the main street have turned into places for selling samosas, bagels, types of drinks and natural juices.

Yasser Abdullah tells NewsYemen that he used to work in a bakery, but decided to sell Sanbousa during the holy month.

And he thinks that commercial work, even if it is modest, is better than working with a specified salary, because the expenses of the month of fasting for his family have increased by nearly double what it was in the other months, and he has to double his material income to meet that spending.

As for Abdul Sattar, he moved his workplace selling juice from the qat market to the entrance to the central market.

He said that he thinks that selling in these places is better because the majority of people who visit the qat market come during the night, that is, at times when people no longer need its drinks.

He hopes to achieve better sales during daylight hours to devote night hours to worship during the month of fasting and Ramadan spirituality.
