Houthi detention of gas trucks cause gas crisis in al-Baida

The Houthi militias not only inflame gas crisis on the black market but also double its prices, while a gas cylinder reached Y.R 10,000 in al-Baida province.

Local sources said to Newsyemen civilians had not been able to get cylinders for days after gas stores and gas stations closed their doors before the civilians because of gas quantities ran out in the province.

The sources attributed the gas crisis the Houthi militias detained eight gas trucks for more than ten days in al-Wahbiyah area in the province, causing an acute crisis, while the armed militias supply gas cylinders on the black market.

They said that the militias demand large royalties or funds to be paid to finance the War Effort, causing the acute crisis in the domestic gas.
