Houthi militias set up secret camps in al-Khabt district in al-Mahweet

A local source said to NewsYemen that the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, have recently developed secret camps in al-Mahweet province, northwestern Yemen.

The source made clear that the Houthi militias have established training camps in Jadil and Bait al-Jailani, located in Jarbah, al-Sudah, al-Sha'afel al-Sufla villages in al-Khabt district in the province.  

He said " the Houthi militias have created this camp after the discovery of the former camp in Maeen and al-Hammam zone in al-Arjin area which was targeted by the Coalition with two raids".

The source added that the Houthi militias are still using the camp. The source pointed out that the Houthi militias arrested one of the shepherds named al-Jailani while he was going to fetch water for his goats, who was vowed not to return back to the area and not to approach the "water well" as being a military area.

Local sources said to NewsYemen that the Houthi militias blackmail civilians in al-Khab district, in particular expatriates and traders.

The Houthi militias did not exclude even women who run small projects in the district and imposed Y.R 5,000 monthly on every woman has a small business.   

Iran's arm has imposed other royalties on merchants on a monthly basis, as well as amounts traders are forced to pay at various Houthi occasions.

They pointed out that the Houthi militias are carrying out a recruiting campaign for young men and minors in al-Mahweet and sending them to the battlefields with the participation of local elements working in the district as supervisors.
