Mysterious disease spreads in Abyan .. Parents demand health intervention

Local residents in Abyan province, southern Yemen, said that a mysterious disease has appeared in recent days in many areas, and dozens of people were infected.
Residents said to NewsYemen that the disease appeared coincided with the spread of viruses, mosquitoes and flies in Lawdar area and in areas in the central part of the Abyan province.
The symptoms of the disease are very similar to those of dengue fever, where people have severe fever. Physicians
in the area have not been able to diagnose and identify the disease accurately, sometimes it is diagnosed as "dengue fever" while others said "strange viral disease."
The parents appealed to the competent governmental authorities in Abyan province and the Ministry of Public Health and Population to send medical teams to diagnose the disease and the causes of its spread, and to conduct the examination and tests to determine the necessary treatments to confront it.
