Brigadier General Mujahid al-Otaibi, commander of the Arab Coalition Forces in Aden, appeared on Sunday, on the frontlines of fighting in the areas between Lahj and Al-Bayda governorates.
Brigadier Al-Otaibi arrived at the Al-Hidd Yafaa district, along with a number of military leaders, on a surprise visit to see the combat conditions in the region.
Colonel al-Otaibi was received by Jalal al-Rubaie, commander of the security belt forces in Lahj governorate, and a number of military leaders with the security belt, southern resistance leaders, and the leadership of the Thunderbolt Brigades.
He briefed the commander of the coalition forces on the positioning of the southern military units, their high combat readiness, and their preparedness for any possible confrontational scenario with the Houthi militias, in the Al-Hidd district adjacent to Al-Bayda governorate.
Brigadier General Mujahid al-Otaibi saluted the heroes stationed in the battlefields, praising the high morale they enjoy and their fighting clothes, and their sacrifices and heroism, which are a source of pride and pride for the Arab coalition forces, stressing standing side by side to confront the Houthi militia.
For their part, the soldiers pledged to move with full determination and will to direct the plans of the Houthi militias and terrorist organizations, to defeat them, and to defeat their terrorist and obscurantist project.
The seam areas between the Hidd district of the Lahj governorate and the Dhi Naseem district in Al-Bayda governorate witnessed Sunday night confrontations between the southern forces and the Houthi militia accompanied by mutual artillery shelling.
Local sources in the Al-Hidd district told "Newsyemen" that the Houthi militia fired mortar shells, targeting southern forces' positions on the front lines. On the other hand, the southern forces' artillery destroyed the Houthi positions with mortars and tanks, causing direct hits in their ranks.
