Frost kills displaced people in Marib province
English - Tuesday 15 January 2019 الساعة 07:26 pmSome displaced people died in Marib province, eastern Yemen due to the severe and their lack of basic shelter services, Ahmed al-Maazi said.
Ahmed al-Maazi a respiratory diseases specialist in Karaa hospital in Marib said the hospital received 23 cases in the first week of January.
The all cases suffer from acute pulmonary infections, he added.
He said that six cases of intensive care were admitted to the intensive care unit, two of which died and the rest of the cases are recovered.
Displaced people live in tents Araq al-Jalal area eastern Marib. A girl from the same camp died at the end last December because of the cold.
The displaced appealed to the government and international organizations to rescue and provide protective measures to protect them from the cold weather.
