Security crackdown on al-Qaeda gunmen kills seven in Abyan
English - Wednesday 16 January 2019 الساعة 09:47 amDozens of terrorists were killed and wounded in an extensive security crackdown launched by the security forces in Abyan province on Tuesday.
The Arab Coalition aircraft supported the security crackdown with several raids on al-Qaeda terrorist hideouts in the central districts of Mudiyah and al-Mahfad.
A source at the Security Belt Forces in Abyan told Newsyemen that the crackdown led by the commander Abullatif al-Sayed entered Awraman area, the land of Fathan, in its first day where the terrorist elements belonging to al-Qaeda there.
The security forces clashed violently with al-Qaeda gunmen in al-Fathan area, killing seven of al-Qaeda and injuring seven of the Security Belt Forces.
The source said that the Arab Coalition warplane supported the security campaign by launching several raids on the terrorists' sites, likely the fall of dozens of dead and wounded.
The security campaign came amid the increasing of terrorist acts, including assassinations, the most recent assassination of the leader at the Security Belt Forces and the Transitional Council on Ali Awadh al-Kazemi, as well as attacking security belts' military vehicles with explosive devices.
