The southern forces launched an artillery bombardment on sites created by the Muslim Brotherhood, in the Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, after the militia failed to carry out any military attacks on the positions of the southern forces
Field sources said that the Southern Resistance Forces and the First Brigade supported launched a number of attacks against the Muslim Brotherhood's positions and defeated them.
The sources added that the bombing resulted in the destruction of a number of defensive sites and fortifications, killing and wounding among them members of the Islah militias and damage to military vehicles, as well as forced other mechanisms, including a tank and heavy armored vehicles were brought from the governorates of Ma'rib, Hadhramaut and Shabwa, to withdraw.
The southern forces are engaged in armed confrontations with the Brotherhood's militia, during which the first failed, several attempts to advance carried out by the Brotherhood's militia weeks ago along the length of the coastal Shuqrah front.
