Recruits from the Fifth Military Region protested in Haradh and Midi, in Hajjah governorate to claim their back pay.
A military source told Newsyemen that hundreds of soldiers were holding protests for the third day to demand their salaries, which have not been spent since the beginning of this year.
According to the source, the District Command did not pay the soldiers ’salaries for nine months for reasons that are not known.
It is noteworthy that the Hajjah fronts have witnessed a lull for nearly a year, with the exception of sporadic battles and air strikes.
