Riyadh, NewsYemen:

The spokesman for the Arab Coalition Forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed, on Monday, that the Iranian arm of the Houthi militia was proven to be involved in the cowardly terrorist attack, which caused a fire in a fuel tank at the petroleum products distribution station in Jeddah.

He said in a statement that this terrorist attack does not target the national capabilities of Saudi Arabia, but rather the nerve and the global economy, as well as global energy security.

Al-Maliki explained that this terrorist attack is an extension of terrorist acts targeting oil facilities in (Baqiq and Khurais), which were adopted by the Houthi militia, and evidence and proofs have proven the Iranian regime's involvement in those terrorist attacks using Iranian cruise-type weapons and explosive drones.

He stated that targeting civilians and civilian objects, including economic facilities, in a systematic and deliberate manner, violates international humanitarian law and its customary rules and amounts to war crimes.

Al-Maliki stressed that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition is taking the necessary operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects, and terrorist elements planned and carrying out these hostile and terrorist operations against civilians and civilian objects will be held accountable in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.

Earlier, on Monday, Saudi Arabia announced that it had put out a fire that broke out in a fuel tank at the petroleum products distribution station north of Jeddah as a result of a terrorist attack with a projectile.

The Houthi militia claimed responsibility for the attack early on by its spokesman, Muhammad Abdulsalam, who claimed that the Aramco strike in Jeddah was carried out with a Quds 2 missile.
