Sanaa, NewsYemen:

The Sam Organization for Rights and Freedoms said that thousands of cancer patients in Yemen are forced to search on the black market for drugs that are extremely important to their health.

The organization indicated that the Houthi militia deliberately traded in drugs intended for incurable diseases that were provided free of charge to patients and sold them on the black market, which are very expensive drugs.

According to the World Health Organization, cancer patients in Yemen are not subject to diagnosis except in late stages, in which a curative treatment may not be an option for them after that.

The health sector in Yemen suffers from a severe deterioration as a result of the Houthi coup, which led to the outbreak of epidemics and diseases and the closure of a large number of health facilities.
