Sana'a, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

After being absent for nearly five years, Moroccan diplomat Jamal Benomar announced on April 7th the establishment of the so-called International Center for Dialogue Initiatives, headed by him and the membership of a number of former diplomats from the Middle East, North and West Africa.

His announcement of the establishment of the center came after his appearance on the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel on the twenty-fourth of last March, speaking about the role he played during his assumption of the position of the UN special envoy to Yemen during and after the crisis of the year 2011, distributing accusations according to the directions of "Hamdeen" against Yemen since 2011

It was noteworthy that Benomar's announcement of the establishment of the center came in a lengthy article published by the online newspaper, Rai Al-Youm, which is owned and headed by the journalist Abdulbari Atwan, and supported by Qatar and the Iran axis, as he described this center as (the first platform of its kind in the region concerned with issues of preventing and resolving conflicts, building peace and facilitating national dialogue initiatives between conflict parties).

The announcement of the establishment of this center raised many questions about the background and the real goals that this center and those in charge of it will seek to implement, especially since Benomar, explaining the role that the center will play, said: (The need to launch the International Center for Dialogue Initiatives stems from an unfortunate conviction that is the failure of all existing international mediation processes.  In putting an end to the conflicts raging in the region, as is the case in Syria, Libya and Yemen).

He added "In contrast, the only example of successful mediation in the region came from Tunisia, where four local organizations - without outside support or interference from the United Nations - led the national dialogue process, whose success was credited with winning the Nobel Peace Prize,".

Benomar’s talk about the failure of UN mediation in Syria, Libya and Yemen, as opposed to his talk about “the success of local mediation in Tunisia,” and his attacking the former Yemeni president in exchange for his collusion with the Houthis and the Muslim Brotherhood, refers to a new project funded by Qatar through the “Center” as part of its attempts to support political Islam movements  The Sunni (Muslim Brotherhood) and Shiite militia Al Houthi, the Iraqi Mobilization Forces and Hezbollah in Lebanon further chaos that brought the Arab countries into chaos.

Observers and analysts link the attack that Jamal Benomar launched against Saudi Arabia in his interview on Al-Jazeera, and the hidden role that Qatar is playing against Saudi Arabia in understanding with Turkey, which with Qatar adopts support for the Muslim Brotherhood movements, and Iran on the other hand, which supports the Shiite political movements of the crowd  Iraq, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthi militias in Yemen, and even some Brotherhood movements such as Hamas in Palestine.

Observers see Benomar’s return to the region under the pretext of seeking to settle disputes and resolve conflicts. It is a Qatari attempt to return again in sabotage projects, especially after the Brotherhood’s projects in Egypt and Libya fell, and the Saudi crown prince made an important transition in modernizing the Saudi state’s administration.

Qatar continues its efforts to harm its neighbors, chief among them the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which despite Qatar's signature of the Gulf Reconciliation Document at the Al-Ula summit, it continues to play the same suspicious role against Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which is reflected in the coverage of the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel and the rest of the Qatar-funded channels in its dealings with  The crises in the region, on top of that its media and political support for the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, as well as the diversion, adoption and publication of everything that offends Saudi Arabia, including but not limited to the recent issue related to the events in Jordan and the Qatari island’s attempt to accuse Saudi Arabia of standing behind it despite Saudi Arabia’s strong solidarity position with Jordan.
