Lamlas discusses ways to restore the city's leading role: targeting Aden and the continuation of crises, intentional events

The governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, received, on Wednesday, from the Aden Consultation Group, a proposal for solutions and remedies, to restore Aden to its leading role in security, safety and community peace.

The group's facilitator, Ms. Radhia Shamshir, in the governor's office in the governorate's general office, reviewed the group's proposals, which included a set of solutions and treatments.

The treatments included first the security and military aspects, most notably that Aden be free of weapons, strengthening the training and qualification of the security and police apparatus, establishing a joint security operations room, and secondly the economic, financial and administrative aspects, most notably the opening of the Central Bank of Aden for a special account for Aden’s revenues, and thirdly, socially, and services,  By restoring the municipal system, organizing and arranging the displaced, taking care of the educational process, and reviving the city planning council system.

Lamlas welcomed the proposals submitted by the Aden Consultation Group, and provided, in the course of his speech, a set of clarifications about the security situation, stressing that Aden is a target and the events related to this aspect are intended, as well as the continuity and creation of crises.

He stressed that the security "is not armored vehicles, nor vehicles, but rather information, and we hope everyone will cooperate in this aspect," noting that there is "a trust gap formed between society and security during the past periods, and it widened after the year 2015."

He pointed out that efforts are being made to restore cooperation and trust between society and security services, through community committees, in addition to seeking the assistance of people with experience and expertise in the security field.

At the conclusion of his speech on the security situation, he revealed that a press conference will be held soon to reveal the results of investigations into the terrorist events that recently witnessed in the capital, Aden, and those involved in them.

 He reviewed the efforts of the local authority to ensure and stabilize the proportion of Aden governorate’s revenues from the central budget, and the clarifications made by the local authority in all meetings with regional and international parties, and its constant affirmation that Aden is a city of coexistence and a unique city with its civil and civil heritage that everyone must preserve, to be  Aden is an example of security, safety, and civility.

The meeting touched on a number of issues related to the living, health and educational conditions, the difficulties and challenges they face, and ways to address and solve them.
